Marc Jacobs Converts Boutique Into Blondie Pop-Up Shop

Marc Jacobs and Blondie

Now this is an example of being a number one fan — in honor of Blondie’s forthcoming album, “Panic of Girls,” Marc Jacobs is converting one of his New York boutiques into a temporary, Blondie-devoted pop-up shop.

On Tuesday, the Bleecker Street Marc by Marc Jacobs outpost will be stocked with the new album, Blondie t-shirts, and Blondie-related books.  (Sales of the t-shirts will benefit Riverkeeper, a New York-based clean water advocacy program).

Jacobs and Debbie Harry have apparently been friends since partying together at CBGB a couple decades ago.  Now, Jacobs’ temporary conversion of one of his whole shops into a band-devoted shrine is an awesome example of the natural partnership between music and fashion.
