Prada Goes Real World Omnichannel at Harrods This Spring

Well, it’s omnichannel if you count art and food as channels, instead of Twitter and mobile.  In May, Harrods will host Pradasphere, which is more or less exactly what it sounds like — a space within the department store devoted entirely to the Italian label.

Instead of rack upon rack of clothes, however, Miuccia Prada is using her takeover of the store’s fourth floor to open a cafe and launch an exhibition about her brand.  The gallery component will feature looks from Prada’s archives, experiments, and collaboration history, while the cafe will be, well, a cafe.  We expect very decent espresso, taken standing up.

The retail component of Pradasphere (and there is one, of course) will exist in the form of a one-off collection exclusive to Harrods. If you’re in London in May, the whole thing is worth checking out.
