When we heard Kate Spade Satuday and eBay were partnering on “shoppable windows” around downtown New York, we thought the idea was pretty cool. Over the weekend, the four virtual shops launched, and they look even more awesome than expected.
New Yorkers can order anything they see in the window above, and the brand will courier the item(s) to them within in an hour. Through eBay’s mobile payments service, PayPal Here, shoppers can easily pay the courier upon delivery (as opposed to, say, entering their credit card information while standing on the street). With locations in the Meatpacking District, SoHo, the Lower East Side, and Flatiron accessible just through July 7, the temporary shoppable windows are perfect for city-dwellers to stock up on the rest of their summer wardrobes before New York’s blazing inferno summer weather fully sets in.
