Lucky Brand is famous for its sense of easygoing, Southern California cool, and it’s only fitting that fans of the free spirited aesthetic should be able to carry just the right bag to go with it. As Dave DeMattei, Lucky’s CEO points out, by adding handbags, “it’s yet another dimension we’re adding to Lucky as a lifestyle brand, giving our customer even more ways to experience the Lucky world.” Thus in late June, Lucky will be launching a full line of bags, totes, and small leather goods for Fall 2013. To create the new collection, the brand partnered with New York-based Trebbiano, an accessories design and production company.
The line will be crafted from premium leather, with most of the items retailing for less than $250. Individual styles are emblematic of the Lucky look — think features like braided handles, woven details, custom patterns, and signature hardware. As a partner, Trebbiano is a perfect fit, with Terry McCormick, the company’s president, noting that “we understood the Lucky Brand aesthetic of casual, bohemian chic and we quickly could envision what the collection should look like for our Lucky Brand consumers.” Sounds like devotees of the brand’s boho, laid-back style will be getting just what’s needed to accessorize the look.
The range will be available at Lucky Brand stores, online, and at select department stores.
