Katie Fogarty stars in kate spade new york’s ad campaign for Live Colorfully, the brand’s latest scent.

On April 1st, kate spade new york self-launched the brand’s second fragrance, the aptly titled Live Colorfully. Keeping the scent’s production in-house was integral to Live Colorfully’s development, with Deborah Lloyd, kate spade new york’s President and Chief Creative Officer, noting that “it felt natural to do it our way from start to finish. We felt if we had the hands-on involvement, it would drive the creativity of the project.”

To that end, Poppy King, who helped develop the cosmetic brand Lipstick Queen and partnered with kate spade new york on the company’s 2011 Supercalifragilipstick launch, was brought in to collaborate on creating Live Colorfully.  The brand also worked with consultants Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roschi.  The end result is a ladylike yet playful fragrance, featuring mandarin, pink water lily, and star anise as top notes, a heart of tiare flower, golden gardenia, and coconut water, and a sheer amber, musk, and tahitian vanilla base.

To celebrate the release, kate spade new york threw a party in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, attended by celebs and girls-about-town like Jamie King, Langley Fox Hemingway, Audrey Gelman, and the musician Oh Land.  Katie Fogarty, the face of the new fragrance, was, of course, also in attendance.

Live Colorfully is available in a 0.34 oz. rollerball and sprays of 1.7 oz. and 3.4 oz., at kate spade new york stores, Nordstrom, or katespade.com.
