Philip Treacy Sensatori Resort hats

Okay, we’re familiar by now with luxury brands launching kids’ lines for cash, but fine millinery?  Yep, the British royals’ favorite milliner, Philip Treacy, is debuting a children’s range of hats.

A sketch of one of Treacy’s sunhats for the Sensatori. The children’s looks haven’t yet been released.

The line is being produced in collaboration with the holiday company Thomson, and will debut at the opening of Turkey’s new Sensatori Resort (besides hats for children and a corresponding line for the ladies, Treacy also designed the hotel’s bar).  While guests of the Sensatori will be given hats upon arrival, those buying the world’s most famous milliner’s headwear for their kids will be glad to know that all the proceeds from their purchase will be given to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK.

While launching at a Turkish resort is pretty good, we want to know: why didn’t these hats take a turn on the runway during the recent, first-ever kids’ fashion week?  Maybe next “season.”
