This is fun — Premier Model Management launched an app this month that celebrates modeling, teaches the layperson some tricks, and offers direct-from-the-models editorial content (most of it in video form). Premier Model Style takes fashion’s general penchant for off-duty model style and extends it to listing the stores where they shop, their beauty tips, and general model style advice.
What’s cool about the app is it that it offers what a blog or microsite would, but skipped directly to mobile. And it’s exactly the sort of content you’d be more inclined to flip through while hanging out on the couch, not procrastinating on a desktop at work. It’s also a nod to the supermodel heyday, since Premier is the agency that represented Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Linda Evangelista at their peak (which is duly noted in the app text).
Most important, though, is that since much of the content comes from Premier’s own models, it gives the women a voice. Even if it’s just fashion and beauty tips, it’s better than nothing.
