Through Pinterest and a Giveaway, DVF Gives the Gift of Sight

DVF and VSP charitable Pinterest board

Diane von Furstenberg, the nation’s largest nonprofit vision benefits company, VSP, and the New York City Mission Society made a charitable Pinterest board together to help in-need New York City youth get the glasses they need.

Now through January 31, for every image that’s repinned from the VSP Vision Care board #PinToGiveAndGet, VSP and DVF will donate a gift certificate for an eye exam and glasses to the New York City Mission Society.  They’re giving up to 1,000 certificates all together, so go start your pinning now.

And of course, there’s a fun giveaway component.  After you’ve repinned, send an email to [email protected] with a link to your board (full instructions are here).   You’ll be entered to win Diane von Furstenberg sunglasses or a $500 gift card to the designer’s site.  We’ve always loved von Furstenberg’s mode of fashionable philanthropy, and this is yet another example of it — and this time, it allows her fans to effectively contribute to, and take part in, the effort.
