Darn! This Meret Oppenheim fur and metal cuff would have been perfect for our Where the Wild Things Are costume. Too bad the 1935 piece is one of a kind.
Happy Halloween, everyone! In keeping with, but reversing, the wave of fashion entering museums, Paris’s Galerie de Crédit Municipal is showing a collection of jewelry designed by artists. Most of the pieces are pretty October-31-worthy.
These spider brooches were created by the artist Louise Bourgeois in 2005.
The exhibit isn’t coming State-side, and not everyone can make it to France before January 8 — when the show closes — but you can see some of the best pieces online at Vogue Paris. We thought they were a fitting art-meets-fashion tribute to the day. Enjoy!
