The company already generates 25% of its revenue through mobile commerce, and with their audience away from their computers on July 4th, Gilt expects that number to spike up to 40%.  In order to better serve this growing group, the company will soon be sending notifications of wait-listed items via push notifications and text.  Even better, they’re adopting consumer-focused strategies more often employed by small, tech-focused start-ups.  Users will soon be able to upload images of themselves — only to the mobile apps — in order to virtually try on clothing.
