First Target and Neiman Marcus announced a massive, 50-designer collaboration launching this holiday season. Now eBay is following suit with its own big news for Christmas. The site is partnering with Billy Reid, Chris Benz, Fallon, Jonathan Adler, Ruffian, Steven Alan, and Tibi on the eBay Holiday Collective, WWD reports.
Steven Alan is among eBay’s partner designers (though these aren’t looks for that collection, which hasn’t yet been released).
Like the Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, eBay’s effort will offer men’s and women’s apparel along with objects, accessories, and housewares, with items priced between $50 and $100. Besides creating around 5 items apiece for the collection, eBay’s partner designers will put together their own online wishlists, to launch in conjunction with the products, which will be accessible via eBay’s site and mobile app.
So that sets the score at 50 designers for Neiman Marcus and Target, seven for eBay, and let’s not forget about Nordstrom’s new collaboration with Topshop. All in all, it’s been a banner week-long period for fashionable partnerships. At this point, are there any designers left who haven’t recently announced a new collab?
