You’ve already heard that the field of luxury menswear is growing at twice the rate of women’s, and subsequently those retailers are becoming way more focused on addressing a male customer base with their social media efforts. Now, coming along to prove that those efforts are worthwhile, and that the growth is more than just a few lucky numbers, is the upcoming host of the first-ever “London Collections: Men.”
Inaugurating the first series of British shows devoted totally to menswear is none other than Prince Charles, who will host the designers at St. James Palace. By having the Prince of Wales kick off the festivities, which run from June 14 to 17, the British Fashion Council is hoping to give its menswear designers the best possible international platform. With the market already expanding, and now even Prince Charles on board, we should probably all expect to see a lot more Savile Row tailoring in the near future.
