Kermit the Frog, the New Face of Brooks Brothers

Kermit the Frog for Brooks Brothers

In honor of his new movie, The Muppets, coming out this Thanksgiving, Kermit the Frog is collaborating with Brooks Brothers.  Wait, what?

Well, that’s one way for the American heritage brand to connect with the next generation of preppy dressers.  The Muppet donned a Brooks Brothers tuxedo for his film, but he’s also directly involved with the label via Brooks Brothers’ own site, where he gives an interview (in the kids’ section, of course).  Apparently Kermit prefers houseflies to either a button fly or a zipper.

The Muppet also recently lent his green style to Adidas and to OPI nail polish.  The Brooks Brothers campaign might be the most bizarre of the bunch — there’s just something about frog hops and sneakers that seems like a more natural collaboration — but we’re certainly charmed by the entire slew of endorsements.  What do you think?  Could or would you use Kermit’s formal touch to, say, wrestle your kid into a suit this holiday season?
