New York Hotels Cater To Fashion Night Out Attendees

Now in its third year, Fashion’s Night Out — that annual retail party night, where stores in a multitude of global cities stay open late, offer discounts, and play host to DJs, celebs, and crowds — seems to have become a verifiable institution in New York.  The latest evidence are the city’s hotels, which have added packages and perks specifically meant to appeal to out-of-town FNO attendees.

Makes sense, given the fact that 20% of FNO event-goers last year came from somewhere other than New York.  The packages various hotels have come up are geared toward a fashion-focused clientele.  The city’s four W Hotels are offering guests portraits of themselves by the fashion photographer Annemarieke van Drimmelen, while The InterContinental’s deals includes sending a hairstylist to your room for a pre-event blowout.  The Algonquin’s FNO-oriented guest package offers breakfast (okay, that’s standard enough) along with two cocktails at the hotel’s bar (now sounds like a pre-game to us).

If we didn’t already live in New York, we’d totally get in on one of these deals for the third Fashion’s Night Out coming up on September 8th.  We’d love to hear about any out-of-towners exploring one of the evening’s many hotel options, though — and in the meantime, we’ll just get involved with some of the other fun new attendant FNO activities that have cropped up.
