Lady Gaga's Website Hacked, Fan Emails Breached

Even little monsters deserve privacy!  That said, Lady Gaga’s record label, Universal Music, has confirmed that her UK site was hacked last month by a hacking group called SwagSec.  The police have been contacted, and luckily, only names and emails were taken (no financial data).

The attack may have more to do with the record label than with Gaga herself, as SwagSec’s prior targets, like Amy Winehouse, are also on the label.  Whether it’s self-promotion or to get the attention of a musician, Lil B, whom the hackers tend to reference, is unclear.  Either way, it’s an awfully noticeable ploy despite the seeming lack of financial motivation.
