L'Oreal Introduces 'Find Your Lipstick' iPad Ads

L'Oreal lipstick iAd

You wouldn’t want to accidentally smear makeup on your iPad (or iPhone, or iPod Touch) — but you might if it came in the form of an interactive ad.  Shortly after Lancome and Maybelline launched iPhone ads that sought to engage mobile viewers, L’Oreal Paris is now debuting its own interactive advertising for the iPhone and iPad.

Specifically, the app helps you find the right shade of (L’Oreal Paris) lipstick by asking questions about your hair- and skin-color

All three brands have created their apps on Apple’s new iAd platform. Maybelline is reporting that people spent a lot of time on their app (which helps you find your correct makeup shades) — an impressive 1 minute and 8 seconds, on average. While we’re not quite ready to call this the demise of the beauty counter lady,  this mobile Q&A-style advertising certainly beats looking for help in a deserted drugstore aisle.

What do you think?  If an ad popped up to ask you about a shade of lipstick, would you respond to it?

I like messing around on iAds; the maybelline one is particularly good. :)

Greetings. I am a completely new Cargo and Freight Agents and was wishing to better be set up for my employment at Dell, Inc. This is why I arrived to your writings. Being grown in Fort Mc Clellan and on the way to class at Longy School of Music of Bard College (MA) in Thomaston, has helped me to prepare for my destiny. My mother and father are also lecturers and they taught me about this page upon reading Grandpa and Thomas. Cheers

Morning. I have not been available since may. It was simply because I was journeying to Sydney because of my contract at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.. This requires a huge amount of time from me, but I still think about your comment. I remember our days at College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University (MN) in Florida. So thrilled that we had a chance to compete close the park. Please send my thanks to Nicole along with Jake. L8rs
