Express Is First to Put Their Catalog on Facebook

Express has put its entire Spring catalog on Facebook this week. Facebook visitors can purchase the clothes and also “like,” comment on, and recommend them to friends.  Mashable quoted Jim Wright, Express’s senior vice president of ecommerce: “We continue to look for ways that the customer can interact with the brand on their own schedule and at their convenience, so that we bring down as many barriers as possible.”  In keeping with the lack of barriers, Facebook users need not even “like” the Express page in order to access the new shopping function.
