Fashism, a site and corresponding app that makes it easy to upload photos of your looks to be voted and commented on by other members, has two famous new members — Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher. The actress began uploading photos of her outfits on Monday night before the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute gala. The stars’ interest isn’t cursory — Demi, along with Ashton and fashion editor Nina Garcia, became an investor in the startup in November.
“Would McQueen approve?” she asked of a feather-adorned black strapless gown. Later she posted another photo of the dress from the red carpet so that users could get a better look at her Philip Treacy hat, and uploaded a shot of the trip home in a limo wearing glasses. Ashton has uploaded one look so far — a pink sweater and gray pants he was considering wearing for Easter.
The presence of such high-profile members is a definite vote of confidence in the social shopping site, which just released an upgraded mobile app in March. Hopefully Demi and Ashton will continue to contribute photos — and perhaps they’ll get a few of their Hollywood friends to sign up as well.
