This afternoon, luxury e-commerce site Net-A-Porter sent out a blast to its email subscribers to inform them of the debut of Mr Porter, a “stylish retail destination for men.”  Recipients were invited to become “founding members” of the site, which is slated to launch next month.

The response to that must have been overwhelming, because the domain mrporter.com hasn’t been loading properly since the email blast was sent. According to Net-A-Porter, founding members of Mr Porter will receive “exclusive access to the site before it launches to the public” and “complimentary shipping for all purchases during this period.” The site will debut with a mix of designers including Rick Owens, Lanvin, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Margiela, Dunhill and John Lobb.
